Kaitlyn Bristowe shared some devastating family news this week as she revealed that her stepfather is battling ‘incurable stage 4 cancer.’

The 40-year-old reality TV star revealed that her stepdad, Rob, was diagnosed with cancer less than a year ago and, despite treatment, it has tragically spread to his stomach.

She posted several photos of her time with family, urging her 1.8 million followers to send love, thoughts, and prayers to her cherished stepfather.

She expressed that Rob, who is married to her mother Leslie and has made appearances on her hometown dates on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, ‘means the world to me.’

The Nashville-based TV host — who openly discussed her breast augmentation earlier this year — shared photos of a recent fishing trip with her stepdad back in Canada to visit family.

‘About 8 months ago, I asked everyone to pray for my stepdad, Rob. I didn’t say why, but he was diagnosed with cancer and was going into surgery to remove it,’ she wrote on Instagram on Saturday.

The reality TV star explained that her stepdad Rob was diagnosed with cancer less than a year ago and unfortunately it spread to his stomach in spite of treatment

‘Your prayers worked, and they had gotten it all,’ she continued. He then went back for a follow-up scan, and it has moved into his stomach. He is now battling an incurable stage 4 cancer.’ 

Bristowe added: ‘We are all devastated. I do believe he will beat the timeline given because he’s a stubborn, strong warrior with a passion for life. 

‘But I really do believe in the power of prayer, the power of manifestation, and the power of love. So, please send it all his way,’ she wrote.

‘He means the world to me and our blended family.’ 

In her post, she included a snapshot of her stepfather in a casual outfit, standing in front of the idyllic view, as he was caught off guard in a candid snapshot. 

She also included photos of her sitting on the dock while fishing as one of her family members also presumably took a photo of her when she wasn’t expecting it.

After many of her loved ones and peers in the entertainment industry showed their support, the former Bachelorette shared a message expressing gratitude. 

In response to the comments underneath her post, she said she was ‘crying’ over the love and support.

‘Trying to not cry as much on social media anymore, but I’m on my third flight home to Nashville, crying into my pretzels at all the love,’ Bristowe wrote on her Instagram Story on Saturday. 

‘Thank you so much,’ she gushed. ‘I’m showing my mom and Rob so many messages and hope goes so far!!’
