(NewsNation) — Toyota has recalled 591,000 vehicles in the United States due to a glitch with the infotainment system.

The recall, announced on Friday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, applies to specific models such as the Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma, and Highlander. Several Lexus models including the LS, RX, and TX are also involved.

Toyota revealed that the 12.3-inch display screens in these vehicles might not activate when the car is started or may intermittently power off during operation. The owners of the impacted vehicles will receive notification from Toyota by the middle of November.

Owners can bring their vehicles to a dealer for a software update or replacement.

Toyota has additionally recalled 95,000 electric vehicles, specifically 2023-2025 Toyota bZ4X, Lexus RZ, and Subaru Solterras models, as reported by Electrek. The recall is attributed to a malfunctioning defroster that could lead to impaired visibility and safety concerns.

The affected units include nearly 41,500 bZ4X, 32,320 Solterra, and 20,501 Lexus RZ vehicles, all constructed on a shared platform, with production running until mid-June.

To determine if your vehicle is part of a recall, visit Toyota.com/recall or NHTSA.gov/recalls and input your vehicle identification number or license plate details. Additionally, customers can reach out to Toyota’s customer service hotline at 1-800-331-4331.
