Thomas Skinner enjoyed a trip to the pub in Essex just hours ahead of his Strictly debut on Saturday.

The 34-year-old star of The Apprentice, who is set to meet his professional dance partner for the first time during the pre-recorded episode, seemed upbeat, despite recently making news for confessing to an affair shortly after his May 2022 wedding. He described the ‘two-week fling’ as a ‘moment of madness’.

However, ‘secret mistress’ Amy-Lucy O’Rourke revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail that their hidden romance extended for three months, during which he expressed love for her and dissatisfaction with his marriage.

Thomas cut a casual figure in a navy Hugo Boss polo shirt and shorts as he strolled along the street holding five-year-old Henry’s hand.

The TV celebrity, who shares two-year-old twin daughters, Roma and Dalia, with his wife Sinéad, styled his hair back and wore a pair of comfortable trainers.

Accompanied by two male friends during the outing, Thomas appeared unconcerned just days after his ‘secret mistress’ promised to reveal more details about their affair.

The Apprentice star, who is about to meet his pro partner for the first time in the pre-recorded episode, seemed in good spirits despite recent headlines regarding his admission of infidelity shortly after his wedding.

'Secret mistress' Amy-Lucy O'Rourke claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail that their secret relationship lasted three months, during which time he said he was in love with her

‘Secret mistress’ Amy-Lucy O’Rourke told the Daily Mail in an interview that their clandestine relationship lasted three months, during which he confessed love for her.

Thomas addressed his 700,000 followers on Thursday, in which he referenced the ‘dark shadows’ of life.

Alongside a selfie, he penned: ‘Good Morning You Lovely People!!’.

Thomas continued: ‘Nice early start in the gym finishing up my work out and looking forward to another day of dancing with my wonderful Strictly partner.

‘Remeber [sic]….Never give up, because one day you will look back and be glad you didn’t!

‘Now go smash it! You are ten times stronger than you can ever imagine.

‘Make today your day!! Keep your face pointing to the sunshine and the dark shadows will always fall behind you! Bosh.’

Mere hours earlier, Amy-Lucy had insisted she wasn’t a ‘homewrecker’ after being targeted by trolls.

Meanwhile on her own Instagram Stories on Monday, the aesthetician said: ‘I just wanted to come on and say thank you to everyone for sending me really nice messages.’

‘Obviously I’ve had a few trolls, but their opinions are clearly not important, because the masses can see through his lies.’

Amy-Lucy went on to insist that she hasn’t revealed the affair for money or for 15 minutes of fame but instead to make clear how badly she feels she has been treated.

‘No-one knows the full story, the story’s massive the story is insane. I’ve had to give recipes I’ve had to show text messages, phone calls, voice notes, CCTV. There’s message with me saying “I cant believe you’ve done this to me”  I’ve proved it.’

Before adding: ‘It’s not about money it’s about speaking my truth and about what Thomas put me though.’

The Daily Mail have contacted Thomas’ representatives for comment.

It comes after comedian Katherine Ryan weighed into the scandal afterThomas  insisted his wife had ‘forgotten’ about his infidelity and they’d moved on.

His affair came to light last week when Thomas admitted to his infidelity in an interview, tearfully stating: ‘The best advice I can give anyone is to be honest and own up.

‘Because we are in an incredible place now. We are strong. It’s forgotten about.’

Yet in her podcast Telling Everybody Everything , comic Katherine took issue with Thomas’s choice of words, musing: ‘It’s false. It’s “forgotten” – “forgotten” is such really inflammatory term for me.

‘I think that for him, it seems forgotten, she forgave him and his life carried on as far as he’s concerned… I promise you, your wife has not forgotten.

Katherine went on to note that Sinéad was ‘vulnerable’ when the affair took place, being newly married and raising their three small children.

She continued: ‘There’s also the layer of shame. A lot of women in this scenario absorb a man’s shame as their own.

‘This woman’s young, she loves him. It’s so complex when you’re betrayed like that, especially when it comes out of absolutely nowhere. You think you’re in a good relationship. He said himself, we weren’t arguing.’

Katherine also offered her take on Thomas’s ‘mistress’, branding her a ‘sl*g’ but noting: ‘The wife doesn’t have a contract with this woman. It’s not her responsibility.

‘She may not have behaved in the right way – a sl*g – but it’s smart, if you think about it, to like enjoy these men for what they’re worth.

‘And not be the wife at home who’s crying, who’s having to like hide from her friends what has happened and her whole life is in upheaval and then she’s forced to forgive someone who was on The Apprentice 20 years ago.

‘And he’s like, “it’s forgotten.” I promise you, your wife has not forgotten’.

Katherine claimed the affair would always be in the back of Sinéad’s mind and speculated that she would have wondered if the affair was going to come to light when he signed up for Strictly.

Finally, she branded him ‘hypocritical’ for preaching about his ‘conservative values’ and his ‘family unit’, whilst knowing he’d been unfaithful.
