A suspect has been apprehended following a shooting at a New Hampshire country club on Saturday, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries, according to authorities.

The deadly shooting took place at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, according to the Nashua Police Department.

Information about the event is scarce, but the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office reported that a man entered the club and opened fire, hitting and killing one individual. Several others were wounded—some by gunfire, others in unspecified ways—but precise numbers were not disclosed.

The shooter, whose identity has not been released, was captured at the site and is now in custody. The AG’s office noted that “there is no present threat to the public.”

In the nearby town of Dunstable, Massachusetts, less than 10 miles from Nashua, officials issued a temporary shelter-in-place order for areas including Thorndike Street, High Street, and Hardy Street, which has now been lifted.

New Hampshire State Police said they were assisting the Nashua Police Department with their investigation.

Democratic Rep. Maggie Goodlander also expressed her concern on X, tweeting, “I’m closely monitoring the tragic reports of a shooting tonight at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua. My heart is with the victims, their families, and the entire Nashua community as we await more information.”

New Hampshire State Police said it is assisting the Nashua Police Department with the investigation.

The Nashua Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. Nashua Fire Rescue declined to comment.
