JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The 4th annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival took place in Jonesborough on Saturday, showcasing a trio of new fall attractions this year.

New this year was the Master Gardener’s Exhibit, a large Jack the Pumpkin King display and a Scarecrow Costume Contest.

The event included lively music, blue-ribbon competitions, a variety of food trucks, pumpkin-themed treat stores, and numerous local vendors. Even Yoda, the town’s honorary citizen, joined in the festivities, dressed in seasonal fall attire.

Carla Bowers, who owns Silver Raven, mentioned that every block of the festival has something to offer, from pumpkin painting to an exciting pie-eating contest.

“It is a family-friendly festival. Kids love it, as we close the street so everyone can run and play. With activities, movies, and fun for all ages, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re 100 years old or just a baby.”

Bowers said her favorite part of the festival was walking the street with Jack the Pumpkin King.
