Today in Savannah, Georgia, we can look forward to warm and pleasant weather. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s, and while a brief shower may occur in the afternoon or evening, most areas are likely to remain dry.
Tomorrow, as high pressure settles in, temperatures will cool slightly just in time for the first day of fall, bringing a more typical autumn feel with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lots of sunshine.
Temperatures will rise again by mid to late week, with highs expected to reach the low 90s. Alongside the warming trend, there will be an increase in the likelihood of rain as a cold front advances from the west. Although the weather is generally calm right now, rain would be beneficial as some areas are beginning to show early signs of drought.
Tropical Storm Gabrielle is projected to strengthen into a hurricane later today. Fortunately, it is anticipated to remain far out at sea, posing no threat to land. Additionally, another system of showers and storms is being tracked behind Gabrielle. While the chances of development are currently low, this is something to watch as the week progresses.
