Responding to President Donald Trump’s statement about the potential link between using acetaminophen during pregnancy and a higher risk of autism in children, Tylenol’s manufacturer, Kenvue, has issued a clarification. Kenvue asserts, “We believe that independent and reliable scientific research clearly indicates that acetaminophen does not lead to autism.” The majority of scientific studies do not support a causal connection between prenatal exposure to acetaminophen and the development of autism.
