KANSAS (KSNT) – The United States Postal Service (USPS) has restarted Operation Santa, a program that allows children to send letters and receive gifts from Santa.

Participants can either write letters to Santa or choose to adopt letters. Those who adopt will need to create an account to browse and select up to 15 letters to fulfill the wishes expressed. Gifts can be sent via the Gift Shoppe or a designated post office. If the gift is purchased through the Gift Shoppe, packaging and shipping will be conveniently managed for you.

According to the USPS, adopters have the freedom to respond to letters in various ways. Some may choose to fulfill one or two of a child’s wishes, while others might decide to provide all the gifts requested. The USPS emphasizes that only new items are accepted to ensure health and safety.

“Hopeful as ever, kids do tend to wish big,” the USPS wrote on its website. “But just hearing back from Santa is a win!”

Packages must be under 70 pounds with a maximum combined length and width of 108 inches. You can read the USPS shipping guidelines by clicking here.
