DALLAS (WFLA) — The FBI director, Kash Patel, has released an image of shell casings believed to be linked to the shooting incident at a Dallas ICE facility on Wednesday morning.

Authorities said the shooting occurred at around 6:40 a.m. Four people were shot, and two were killed, one of them being the shooter.

No ICE agents were hurt in the shooting.

“We have reason to believe that he was targeting law enforcement and detainees from an apartment building,” stated Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin. “Detainees were included among the shooting’s victims.”

Following a press briefing by officials in Texas, FBI Director Kash Patel shared a photo of the bullet on social media, indicating that the attack was driven by ideology.

The unspent casings appeared to have “ANTI-ICE” written on one of the bullets.

“These despicable, politically motivated assaults on law enforcement are not isolated events,” Patel remarked. “We are only a few miles from Prarieland, Texas, where just two months ago there was an ambush on a different ICE facility targeting their officers. This has to stop, and the FBI alongside our partners will spearhead these investigations to ensure that those targeting our law enforcement face full justice.”
