An Arizona man faces several charges after violently attacking his girlfriend in his apartment, furious that she used his vape without permission.

Prosecutors said 32-year-old Nicholas Vincuillo beat the victim “beyond recognition,” KSAZ reported.

“She had 36 documented injuries to her head alone. She required significant medical intervention,” prosecutor Dawn Sauer said.

Court records say the victim is now “so terrified that she’s considering leaving the state.”

Vincuillo is accused of assaulting the victim by slamming her against a wall, then hitting her and forcibly moving her into a bathroom. He allegedly pointed a gun at her forehead and insulted her with a slur, all because she used his vape while he was showering.

According to investigators, the woman managed to flee the apartment and sought help at a nearby fast food restaurant. She was subsequently taken to a hospital in Scottsdale for medical attention.

“She was strangled and suffered an orbital fracture and a fracture to her left hand. The forensic nurse commented that the victim’s injuries ranked among the top five worst cases she had encountered,” Sauer reported.

Vincuillo tried to hide evidence of the assault, even “requiring [the victim] to shower, clean up the blood and disposing of the clothes.”

Investigators found a laptop, a cell phone, the victim’s clothing, and cleaning wipes in a trash compactor.

Court documents also said Vincuillo had a history of domestic violence and had previously told victim he was a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.

“The officer believes that this is an attempt to threaten and intimidate the victim in this case,” the documents said.

Vincuillo faces seven felony charges, including aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. He’s being held on a $250,000 bond.
