Makaylee Sullivan is calling for justice after the livestreamed death of her father, expressing her family’s heartbreak over the graphic footage and pointing out the lack of arrests.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville resident, Noah Sullivan, a father of six, had his death captured on a Facebook Live stream earlier this month, leaving his daughter, 21‑year‑old Makaylee Sullivan, demanding accountability.

On September 2, Noah Sullivan, aged 41, was fatally shot on Paul Avenue in Jacksonville’s Southside. His family is still mourning as the online video showing the events before and after his death has amassed nearly 90,000 views.

“I had to identify his body,” Makaylee said. “He had a lifetime to go.”

The livestream video ran around 45 minutes.

The family explains that the video starts with Sullivan spending time with two acquainted women. As the recording continues, Sullivan’s voice is heard asking the women to leave while he takes away a phone. Moments later, the video cuts to darkness. Screams are audible, accompanied by a single gunshot and Sullivan’s cries about his impending death. One of the women then contacts law enforcement.

“The fact that it’s still even up on Facebook really bothers me,” Makaylee said. “Not only am I watching it, but his other kids can see it too.”

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office verified that Sullivan was fatally shot and mentioned that two individuals were questioned on the night of the incident. However, over three weeks have passed without any arrests.

“I know there needs to be an investigation,” Makaylee commented. “But with the video evidence and my dad repeatedly asking the women to leave, it seems clear that an arrest should have occurred.”

Sullivan’s daughter caring for her newborn child, who she said was born six weeks early, the same hospital her father died at.

“It’s very heartbreaking that my dad’s not here anymore because of stupidity, because of the stupid people in this world,” she said through tears. “Nobody is being held accountable, and it hurts.”

Makaylee said she will not stop pushing for justice, no matter how long it takes.

“I will never give up,” she said. “If it takes five, six, ten years, I will never give up. I will make sure, if not both of them, at least the shooter goes to jail.”

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing and declined to provide further details. Officials confirmed they were aware of the livestream early in the case.

Attempts to reach the two women shown in the video for comment were unsuccessful.

A GoFundMe has also been created to help the family.
