The daughter of a New Mexico Republican state senator slammed her father as a ‘loser politician’ for going on a trip with other US lawmakers to Israel. 

Maddie Block, the daughter of Senator Jay Block, took to TikTok to condemn her dad for spreading ‘propaganda’ for the Israeli government on the trip earlier this month. 

‘WTF does Netanyahu have to do with any local issues in New Mexico?’ she captioned her clip, which was viewed over 1.5 million times in under 3 days. 

She cited a lengthy X post from her father after the trip, signed by eight other New Mexico lawmakers, that she said peddled talking points from the Israeli government over its war in Gaza. 

This included the senator accusing those protesting Israel of inciting ‘false claims of genocide of Palestinians’, and atrocities committed by Hamas during the October 7 attacks. 

In her TikTok, Maddie said: ‘I genuinely believe that Israel is, like, paying my dad now to peddle propaganda because he also posted this like super long tweet that’s like basically dissertation length.

‘He was basically just peddling all of this Israeli propaganda saying that the genocide is a lie and that like civilians aren’t being killed and IDF is doing everything they can to like minimize casualties.’ 

Her video comes amid mounting scrutiny on Israel’s conflict with Hamas, which saw United Nations delegates stand up and leave a UN summit on Friday as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began a speech.

Block, pictured with his wife Jennifer Dong, was accused by his daughter of being paid by Israel and ‘selling his soul to the devil’, questioning: ‘How does meeting with Netanyahu help the local people of New Mexico?’

In Senator Block’s X post, he wrote that he and other lawmakers visited holy sites as well as the site of the Nova Music Festival, where Hamas terrorists murdered hundreds during the October 7th attacks. 

‘As we travel home, we have been made aware of a protest against the false claim of genocide of Palestinians. If Israel has genocidal intent, they’re sure bad at it,’ he wrote. 

‘Just one day of bombing Gaza (with the capabilities the Israeli Army and Air Force has) would utterly destroy them, but instead the IDF does everything possible to avoid killing Gazan civilians who are being used as human shields.

‘They strive to limit casualties by warning Gazans ahead of time… Israel must be allowed to protect their citizens, as well as the 750,000 Americans who live within their borders, as a matter of fact, the United States should demand it.’ 

The post was met with mockery as many responded with his daughter’s clip and repeated her questioning over why the state legislator was so focused on the Middle East.

Maddie said in her TikTok that her father’s trip was far from a ‘personal vacation’, and said he was invited ‘along with his Republican cronies’ to visit Israel and meet with Netanyahu. 

‘I don’t know what they could possibly discuss,’ she continued. 

She noted that the other lawmakers on the trip were all state legislators, questioning: ‘How does meeting with Netanyahu help the local people of New Mexico?’ 

‘How much are they paying my dad? Like, how much is his soul? Because it seems like he has sold his soul to the devil.’ 

Maddie mocked her father repeatedly as she said he’s a Republican ‘so that is par for the course’, and belittled him as ‘just a state senator, he’s not even a US senator.’ 

‘I’m genuinely so confused, and I think there is some nefarious stuff happening, and I just genuinely hope that this will be the end of my dad’s political career,’ she said.

The GOP lawmaker’s daughter added in a follow-up video that she was calling out Republicans because her father is in the GOP, but clarified that Democrats also joined the trip to Israel as well. 

‘I was focusing on the Republicans because my dad happens to be a Republican. But no, it was politicians on both sides of the aisle that were going on this trip,’ she said. 

‘So I apologize if my video made it seem like it was just Republicans, cause that’s not the case.’ 

State Senator Block’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
