A Jacksonville restaurant shooting left one man hurt but stable, with the suspect fleeing on a bicycle.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that a man in his 50s is recuperating after being shot inside Que Padre on University Boulevard.

According to police, an individual fired into the restaurant through its front window late on Saturday, striking the man in the back. He was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening and is currently in stable condition.

Investigators said the suspect, dressed in all black, took off on a bicycle after the shooting.

Detectives said they believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

JSO’s crime scene unit processed the restaurant, while investigators canvassed the area for witnesses and surveillance video.

The victim is expected to be OK. JSO is asking anyone with information to contact their office or call Crime Stoppers.
