Ariana Grande made a rare political statement on Sunday to her captive, combined 523.2M social media following.
The 32-year-old pop star – who cast her vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 and Bernie Sanders in 2020 – questioned supporters of President Donald Trump who are fond of MAGA, asking whether they felt better off eight months into his second term.
‘It’s been 250 days,’ Ariana Instastoried A Bit Fruity podcaster Matt Bernstein’s post.
‘Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for almost everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the verge of collapsing for us all – has your life improved?’
The post continued: ‘Have your grocery bills decreased? Has your health insurance become more affordable? Has your work/life balance gotten better? Can you afford a vacation now? Are you happier? Has the widespread suffering of others benefited you in the way he assured it would, or are you still waiting?’
Her fans expressed support for the post on X, with one stating, ‘Girl, MAGA will go broke trying to buy groceries as long as it means they deported Jorge from Home Depot who was trying to feed his kids.’

‘i love this women with every fiber in me!’ another chimed in.
‘I like how people are criticizing her right to free speech while using their right to it at the same time,’ someone else added.
However, others claimed the star ‘hates America.’
‘Isn’t she the same person who said she hates America while sneakily licking a donut in a shop, leading the health department to reprimand a small business? I happened to be in that area and spoke with the owner right after. She nearly ruined that business,’ one commented, referencing her infamous donut incident.
‘Oh thank god. Her silence in the political arena was deafening,’ another quipped.
‘She’s a singer. Nobody cares about her political opinions.’
The Florida-born former child star’s post came three months after she Instastoried Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet calling for the 79-year-old Republican politician’s third impeachment for his ‘disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization.’
Ariana has also been known to publicly support LGBTQIA+ rights, Palestinian rights, reproductive rights, and voter registration.

It’s been a decade since Grande (born Butera) was caught on security camera by TMZ declaring ‘I hate Americans. I hate America’ while surreptitiously licking multiple donuts at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, CA.
The Oscar-nominated actress will next reprise her role as the Good Witch of the South Galinda Upland opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked Witch of the West Elphaba Thropp in Jon M. Chu’s $150M-budget sequel Wicked: For Good, which hits US/UK theaters on November 21.
The big-screen adaptation of the 2003 Broadway musical will also bring back Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Ariana’s boyfriend Ethan Slater.
The first fantasy flick received critical acclaim and amassed $756.4M at the global box office.
Grande and the 33-year-old Tony nominee – who never went red carpet official – haven’t been pictured together since April 26 while supporting her former Victorious castmate Liz Gillies as she starred in the off-Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors in Manhattan.
The two-time Grammy winner and Ethan notoriously fell in love on the London set of Wicked sometime between December 2022 and July 2023.
Scandal immediately surrounded Ariana and Slater as he was still very much married to his ‘heartbroken’ high school sweetheart Lilly Jay and mother of his three-year-old son Ezra, but their divorce was finalized in September 2023.
‘I really never thought I would get divorced. Especially not just after giving birth to my first child and especially not in the shadow of my husband’s new relationship with a celebrity,’ the 30-year-old psychologist wrote in The Cut last December.

‘I confidently moved to another country with my two-month-old baby and my husband to support his career. Consumed by the magic and mundanity of new motherhood, I didn’t understand the growing distance between us.’
