Update: Johnny Lynn Arnwine is in custody, according to Police Chief James Hammonds.
ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Surgoinsville Police Department is searching for a man allegedly involved in a shooting in Rogersville on Tuesday.
The police department issued a press release stating that officers reacted to the 100 block of Cardic Drive in Rogersville following reports of a man being shot shortly after 6:30 p.m.

An investigation determined that Johnny Lynn Arnwine, 22, reportedly fired the shots that hit the victim.
Arnwine fled the scene in a light blue or silver 2023 Toyota Corolla with tag number 335BPVD in an unknown direction, the release stated.
“Arnwine is considered armed and dangerous and the public is asked not to approach him,” Chief James Hammonds said in the release.
Anyone who sees Arnwine is asked to call 911.
Hawkins County Schools Superintendent Matt Hixson confirmed to News Channel 11 that no schools were placed on lockdown due to the search.
