A Tennessee jury found a Memphis man guilty Tuesday, in connection with the deaths of his newborn and her mother.
According to COURT TV, the jury convicted Brandon Isabelle, 28, on numerous charges, including two first-degree murder counts.
He’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars after receiving three life sentences in prison.
Isabelle has also been convicted of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated child abuse charges. The sentencing for these offenses is slated for November 12, as reported by Local Memphis.
According to CrimeOnline, Isabelle enticed Danielle Hoyle, 27, to meet at a Memphis intersection with their newborn, Kennedy, on February 1, 2022.
Police officers later discovered Hoyle’s body near her empty vehicle while searching for stolen cars in the area.
Police found her deserted vehicle first, ran the registration, and reached out to her family, who mentioned they hadn’t heard from her since she left with her child.
Authorities apprehended Isabelle, who confessed to shooting Hoyle to death and then taking the infant from the car seat, driving her to Upper Mud Island Boat Ramp.
There, he threw the baby and the murder weapon in the Wolf River, which flows into the Mississippi River.
Following this, Isabelle visited a Walgreens to purchase gifts for his new girlfriend, then proceeded to a nearby Walmart to dispose of Kennedy’s car seat in a dumpster.
Kennedy’s remains have not been found.
