Celeste Rivas, the teen girl who was found dead in a Tesla belonging to the singer D4vd, was laid to rest on Monday.
At the Queen of Heaven Cemetery & Mortuary in Rowland Heights, California, the young Rivas, whose remains were found dismembered and severely decomposed at just 14 years old, was laid to rest among family and friends.
Photographs acquired by the Daily Mail showed mourners carrying her casket during the funeral, which took place beneath a white tent on the cemetery grounds.
The family appeared to be trying to keep the funeral as secret as possible by shielding it from view in the tent.
Attendees, clad in all black, bore somber expressions and kept their gazes lowered as they escorted Celeste’s shining white casket, emphasizing the solemnity of the occasion.
Several funeral attendees were also seen carrying large flower bouquets to be left by the graveside.
The discovery of Rivas’ body has deeply unsettled the communities throughout Los Angeles. Her remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla owned by the singer D4vd, after it was found abandoned near a Hollywood Hills residence that the artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, had been renting.

Celeste Rivas, the teenage girl discovered deceased in a vehicle belonging to D4vd, was interred on Monday by her loved ones in Rowland Heights, California, close to Los Angeles.

Celeste was only 14 when her body was discovered in a state of advanced decay in a Tesla owned by the singer D4vd

The vehicle had been left deserted near a Hollywood Hills property leased by D4vd. Authorities were summoned to a Hollywood tow yard when an employee detected a troubling odor coming from the car; D4vd is seen in Paris in March.
It was only later when the vehicle was impounded that police were called after a tow yard worker noticed a disturbing odor emanating from the Tesla.
Late last month, the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Rivas had likely been ‘dead for several weeks’ by the time her body was discovered.
The seemingly slow progress of the case and the sparse drip of information about Rivas’ death has led to criticism of the police investigation throughout LA.
Amid the opaque investigation, D4vd has remained silent about any potential connection to the victim discovered in his car.
The singer reportedly broke his $20,000 lease and moved out from the Hollywood Hills home that his Tesla had been parked near, which had been searched by police.
An LAPD spokesperson said ‘several items of evidence’ were found during the raid, but there have been no updates on specific information gathered in the search.
D4vd has tried to stay out of the public eye, and he went on to cancel his planned touring schedule and delay the release of an expanded deluxe edition of his album Withered, which was originally released in April.
However, D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, recently spoke out to deny any involvement on his part in Rivas’ death.

Marshall, who owns the record label and media company Mogul Vision, responded to a poster on TikTok who claimed without evidence that he was involved in the case.
‘how dare you say something like this with no facts,’ Marshall replied. ‘This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.
‘This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children. I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids.’
Marshall also denied having ever lived in the home rented out by D4vd.
Rivas’ whereabouts in the months before her death have also raised significant questions.
She was reported missing back in May 2024, when she was 13 years old, but the timeline was complicated when a video emerged that was shot on September 8, 2024.
The clip, which was obtained by TMZ, appears to show Rivas shouting and hurling abuse at her neighbors for allegedly ding-dong ditching her parents’ home.
Police haven’t yet said if they were aware that Rivas may have returned to her family’s home after she was initially reported missing.

While authorities have not yet established any solid link between D4vd and Rivas’ death, insiders who partied with him told TMZ that they had seen the singer with Rivas and believed she was his girlfriend, though they believed she was 19, rather than 14
In 911 records obtained by the Daily Mail, it was revealed that police were called 33 times to Rivas’ home in the last three years.
The logs indicate that eleven calls came in from her home in Lake Elsinore, California, prior to her disappearance, while 22 came in after she was reported missing.
Deputies also responded to five criminal complaints and one emergency 911 call before April 2024.

Sources previously revealed to the Daily Mail that Rivas had had a troubled home life and had run away from her family multiple times.

However, they claimed to be under the assumption that she was 19, rather than her true age of just 14.
