Celeste Rivas Hernandez laid to rest a month after remains discovered

() Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the missing teen who was found dead in the trunk of rising musician D4vd’s Tesla, has finally been laid to rest.

Family members gathered on Monday to pay their respects to Rivas Hernandez at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary located in Rowland Heights, California, as reported by local station KTLA.

Her funeral came a month after police discovered her body in a Tesla that belonged to singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke.

Rivas Hernandez, who disappeared from her residence in Lake Elsinore at the age of 13 in April 2024, was discovered on September 8. The circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death remain unclear. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner labeled her cause of death as “deferred” pending further investigations.

While on tour, the singer D4vd was informed by the police about the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body. Officers conducted a search of his home in Hollywood Hills for potential evidence. As a result, D4vd canceled the remainder of his tour and is reportedly aiding the police with their investigation.

Police have not named any suspects in Rivas Hernandez’s death and D4vd has not been accused of any crime in connection with her body being found.
