Cooks to face off in 2025 Hilton Head Island Kiwanis Chili Cook Off

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () — On Saturday, both seasoned chefs and amateur cooks will compete on Hilton Head Island to determine who can make the finest pot of chili, all while supporting a charitable cause.

The Hilton Head Island Kiwanis Chili Cook Off, a beloved annual event, will start at noon and continue until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. This year marks its 40th anniversary in the Lowcountry.

Jeep Island is a meet and greet featuring Jeeps from around the East Coast. A donated Jeep will also be raffled off.

Through the cook off, the Kiwanis Grill Team will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. There will also be a kid’s zone.

Entry costs $10, available for purchase online or at the entrance. To participate in the chili tasting, you need to buy an additional chili tasting punch card for $10, which allows for 10 tastings.

“This fundraiser supports local youth initiatives and programs,” said an organizer. “Our local children’s needs are growing, and we require your assistance to enhance their lives, one child at a time.”

The event will be at Lowcountry Celebration Park on 94 Pope Ave.

Organizers also said that cash will not be accepted at the Chili Cook Off, only credit cards or Apple Pay.
