GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () — The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) detained a 16-year-old male for allegedly entering vehicles and stealing a pistol.
At around 12:13 a.m. on Thursday, the GCPD responded to a 911 call from a homeowner on Ogden Drive, who reported spotting an individual entering a vehicle on their camera.
Authorities discovered a young male who was wearing a face mask and latex gloves. Upon searching him, the officers found a .24 caliber handgun, which was identified as stolen from another vehicle, along with a screwdriver and a flashlight.
The homeowner’s video footage confirmed that the youth had previously entered their vehicle. The police reached out to the juvenile’s parents and tried to conduct an interview.
This is an ongoing investigation. Detectives are working to identify additional victims and link recovered property to reported cases.
