NEW YORK (WPIX) — A popular brand of rice has been recalled nationwide after it was reported that there could be small stones in the product.

This recall involves a select batch of Ben’s Original Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice products. These items were available at various retailers such as Target, HEB, and Amazon.

The stones originate from the rice farm, and if consumed, could pose a risk of oral or digestive tract injury, the recall states.

“This is a specific issue restricted to these batches—no other Ben’s Original™ products are impacted,” Ben’s stated in the recall notification. “In our ongoing commitment to transparency and trust, we are proceeding to withdraw the affected products from the stores they were sent to and to alert consumers.”
