Zohran Mamdani remained tight-lipped when questioned about funding his ambitious $10 billion proposal for his socialist platform. This comes in the wake of Governor Kathy Hochul’s firm stance against increasing income taxes.

“Look, many doubted my campaign’s viability from the start. Yet, here I am, proud to be the Democratic nominee with the highest vote count in city primary history,” Mamdani remarked, sidestepping the financial inquiry.

Zohran Mamdani had little to say when asked how he would cover the cost of his $10 billion in freebies for his socialist agenda, with Gov. Kathy Hochul saying she will not raise income tax. NBC

“We have introduced a plan aimed at reducing costs across New York City,” he stated.

A core element of Mamdani’s campaign is his commitment to increasing taxes on individuals earning over $1 million, as well as on corporations.
