Urbana event honors survivors during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — As October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the community gathered at The Yard on Broadway to pay tribute to survivors of domestic violence this past Saturday.

Courage Connection, an organization dedicated to providing aid and protection to families and survivors, hosted “Courage on the Block.” This event aimed not only to recognize those impacted by domestic violence but also to spread awareness about the issue.
