Man sought to 'evade prosecution through deportation' with surrender: Prosecutors

Prosecutors Reveal Man’s Attempt to Dodge Charges by Seeking Deportation

A man from Mexico who turned himself over to federal authorities in Riverside County aimed to be deported as part of the ongoing immigration enforcement efforts. However, his intentions might have been more strategic, as he allegedly sought to create a conflict within the government.

Geovany Espinoza Norzagaray, as uncovered by Seamus Hughes’ Court Watch, was already facing charges of methamphetamine distribution. He had expressed willingness to plead guilty after visiting his grandmother.
