SAVANNAH, Ga – Good morning! This is StormTeam 3 Meteorologist Alysa Carsley bringing you your Monday forecast. Let’s kick off the week on a positive note.
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend, graced with plenty of sunshine and pleasantly mild temperatures. The great news is that this delightful weather pattern is set to continue into the workweek. Expect more sunshine and comfortable temperatures to brighten your days.
High-pressure systems are currently steering last night’s cold front away from our region, out into the ocean. As a result, we can anticipate high temperatures to hover just below the seasonal average, reaching the low to mid-70s this afternoon.
As we ease into the week, attention turns to the next cold front expected to arrive Tuesday night. This front is primarily a reinforcing system, likely to bring only a few additional clouds to the skies Tuesday evening. The majority of us will likely sleep through its passage overnight, as it simply reinforces the cooler air already in place.
By the end of the week, high pressure will re-establish itself. Morning temperatures will dip into the 40s, while daytime highs will stabilize around the mid-70s, aligning with seasonal norms.
Looking ahead to the weekend, a weak trough may develop off the coast. This could lead to partly cloudy skies and the possibility of passing showers on both Saturday and Sunday, though no significant rainfall is expected at this time.
