JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Authorities in Johnson City are intensifying their search for Raekwon Grimes, a 25-year-old man who is the primary suspect in a shooting incident that occurred Sunday morning at a local Waffle House. This violent episode left one individual injured and has prompted the issuance of a warrant for Grimes’s arrest.

The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) has charged Grimes with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. Notably, Grimes is identified by a distinctive tattoo that reads “the world is yours” on the left side of his neck, aiding in his identification.
The incident unfolded around 4 a.m. when officers were called to the Waffle House on North State of Franklin Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, sparking a police investigation and the ensuing manhunt.
