'Beyond tragic': 2-year-old dies after being hit by truck in Pinellas County neighborhood

In a heartbreaking incident in Pinellas County, Florida, a 2-year-old child tragically lost their life after wandering onto the street and being struck by a pickup truck. This unfortunate event unfolded on a Wednesday afternoon, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. along 49th Avenue North, located west of 80th Street North. At the time, the child’s parents were unaware that their toddler had ventured outside from their nearby home, according to troopers.
