In the early hours of Saturday, the historic King University in Bristol, Tennessee, experienced a fire incident, yet fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The blaze erupted in the early morning around 3:30 a.m. in Sells Hall, a building that has been repurposed for office use.

As firefighters arrived on the scene, the cause of the fire remained unclear. The Bristol, Tennessee, Fire Department (BTFD) immediately took charge of the situation, working to control the flames and ensure the safety of the surrounding area.

To effectively manage the fire and secure an adequate water supply, the BTFD enlisted the support of neighboring volunteer fire departments. Crews from Bluff City, Piney Flats, Sullivan County, and other local departments responded promptly to provide the necessary assistance and resources.

As investigations continue to determine the origin of the fire, the swift response of the fire departments highlights the community’s readiness to support one another in emergencies.
