The explosion occurred at the Goldenson Building, part of Harvard’s Longwood Medical Campus, as reported by the Harvard Crimson. The unsettling event was brought to light when a Harvard University Police Department officer arrived at the scene just before 3 a.m., catching sight of two individuals hastily departing the vicinity.

Reacting swiftly, the Boston Fire Department’s Arson Unit was called in to assess the situation. Their initial findings confirmed the explosion was deliberately set, raising serious concerns and intensifying the search for the culprits.
