According to a royal expert cited by the Daily Mail, Prince Harry appeared “tired of being on display” and struggled to muster a smile at Kris Kardashian’s glamorous 70th birthday celebration.

The Duke of Sussex was seen without a hint of a smile as he walked hand-in-hand with his radiant wife, Meghan Markle, while heading to the James Bond-themed event in Beverly Hills.

With a serious expression, Harry, 41, entered Jeff Bezos’s opulent $165 million estate, sporting a black tuxedo adorned with a remembrance poppy. The gathering included a mix of celebrities and tech giants.

In contrast, Meghan, 44, who did not wear a poppy, followed closely behind, beaming in a form-fitting black top and wrap skirt, all on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.

Royal author Tom Bower suggested that receiving an invite to the Kardashian party would have been a significant achievement for Meghan.

However, Bower noted, “It’s evident that Harry struggles to maintain the fixed smile that Meghan, as an actress, effortlessly shows for the cameras.”

He told the Daily Mail: ‘He looks fed up being paraded, one day at sports match and on another day at a celeb party. 

‘Clearly, he is now worried what revenge his brother might one day carry out against himself and his ambitious wife.’

Meanwhile, a poppy-less Meghan, 44, trailed close behind, grinning from ear-to-ear, in a skin-tight black top and wrap skirt on the eve of Remembrance Sunday

The Sussexes had last year ‘noticeably’ not been invited to Bezos’s 60th birthday party, which was held near their Montecito home. 

But Mr Bower says Meghan has ‘ordered her staff to secure invitations for major celebrity events’ in ‘her desperation to be noticed’.   

‘The Duchess has become not so much a guest-for-hire but a guest searching for publicity,’ he said. 

‘And this time she has landed a major party trophy. For the first time, she is mixing with A-list celebs. That’s a great coup for a Duchess searching for security and approval.’

Meghan is set to return to acting eight years after quitting Hollywood in a new film, starring alongside Lily Collins, Brie Larson and Jack Quaid.

The mother-of-two will reportedly play herself in the film Close Personal Friends, which follows two couples where one is famous and the other is not.

She was this week seen on set in Pasadena, LA, in the Amazon MGM Studios production.

It has been seen as a ‘massive moment’ for Meghan, with Harry ‘really supportive’ and wanting his wife ‘to do whatever brings her joy’.  

Mark Zuckerberg, Mariah Carey, Justin Beiber and Snoop Dog were among the star guests invited to Kris’s party. While the Sussexes also had the chance to be reunited with Oprah Winfrey, who arrived with her long-term pal and TV host Gayle King. 

She and Oprah were spotted sitting next to each other in the backseat of the event as they were driven to the party to rub shoulders with fellow showbiz luminaries.

Among them was Adele, whose own reduced frame was on sizzling display as she emerged from her car wearing a brocaded black gown with lace sleeves. 

Kim Kardashian, having just failed the bar exam, brushed herself off and glammed up for a night out in a royal purple dress.

The clinging backless number allowed her to showcase her world-famous curves to full advantage as she strode into her mother’s blowout bash.

Kris’ firstborn Kourtney Kardashian sported a new hairdo featuring fringe, modelling an outfit that included a set of sheer black opera gloves.

Kylie Jenner – Kris’ youngest – wore a 1960s chic sleeveless turtlenecked white dress with a throwback hairdo to match.

Kris herself was also glimpsed arriving at the Bezos mansion, having pulled out the stops on a luxurious look.

She was decked out in a strapless crimson gown with a billowing skirt that featured cascading rows of frills, culminating in a train.

Gathering her dark hair into an updo that flashed her dazzling drop earrings, the reality TV matriarch added the extra flourish of black opera gloves.

Her longtime toyboy Corey Gamble, 44, much more casually attired in a black t-shirt and matching trousers, arrived holding a jumbo-sized bottle of wine.

His understated outfit was jazzed up with jewelry, including what appeared to be a gold watch and matching cross, as well as a glistening bracelet.

A wild unconfirmed claim surfaced Friday that Kris and Corey are using her 70th birthday as a decoy for a surprise wedding after their 11 year romance, via TMZ.

Kris and four of her daughters – Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner – were all guests at Jeff and Lauren’s starry wedding this summer.
