(NEXSTAR) — This upcoming Tuesday, November 11, holds dual significance, one of which means you won’t need to visit the post office.
That’s because it’s Veterans Day, a time for Americans to honor military veterans. As a federal holiday, this means post offices across the country will not be operational.
The U.S. Postal Service, which Postmaster General and CEO David Steiner highlights as “one of the largest civilian employers of America’s veterans,” will only deliver Priority Mail Express on Tuesday. However, self-service kiosks at select post office locations will be accessible for purchasing stamps, printing postage, weighing and mailing packages, and tracking shipments.
Meanwhile, delivery services such as FedEx, UPS, and Amazon will continue their operations on Tuesday.
