Chicago shooting: 2 men shot, killed during jewelry store armed robbery on West 26th Street in Little Village, police say

CHICAGO — Authorities have now released the identities of the two men who tragically lost their lives in a robbery at a jewelry store in Little Village.

The incident unfolded on Saturday at approximately 5:49 p.m. at a jewelry store located in the 3800 block of 26th Street, according to the Chicago Police Department. An armed suspect entered the store, where he proceeded to steal valuables.

After committing the robbery, the suspect encountered two individuals outside the store, leading to a confrontation. During the altercation, the suspect fired multiple shots at the two men before escaping south on Springfield Avenue in a white SUV.

Both victims were rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. On Monday, the Cook County Medical Examiner identified the victims as 63-year-old Faustino Alamo Dominguez and 25-year-old Luis Alamo, both residents of Berwyn.

Cook County Crime Stoppers on Sunday offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest in the double homicide.

A business nearby shared surveillance video of the incident exclusively with ABC7.

No arrests have been made as Chicago police continue to investigate.
