In a decisive move on Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to end what had been dubbed the Schumer Shutdown, effectively reopening the government. The vote concluded with a tally of 222-209, as six Democrats joined with the Republican majority to push the measure through.
The aftermath of the vote was marked by palpable tension, as audible expressions of frustration emanated from the Democratic side of the aisle.

Amid the Democratic dismay, the atmosphere at the White House was one of relief and satisfaction, as they stood firm in their commitment to serving the American public.
The six Democrats who defied party lines included Jared Golden from Maine, Adam Gray from California, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez from Washington, Don Davis from North Carolina, Henry Cuellar from Texas, and Tom Suozzi from New York. Their decision to break ranks came as a surprise to Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who believed he had secured unanimous support within his party. This unexpected development highlighted a significant miscalculation on Jeffries’ part.

Hear the Democrat weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then see the mockery and laughter from the White House, which stood its ground on behalf of the American people.
RIP DEMOCRAT SHUTDOWN.

The list of six Democrats who crossed the aisle to ensure the government could reopen will live in infamy: Jared Golden (D-ME), Adam Gray (D-CA), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Don Davis (D-NC), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), and Tom Suozzi (D-NY). Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) thought he had his soldiers in line. As with so many of the stances Jeffries takes these days, he was dead wrong.

But in this new Democrat Socialist Party, these representatives are as useless as a screen door on a submarine. The long knives are already out to primary them.
Six Democrats crossed the aisle tonight — and not to lead, but to kneel.
Golden’s leaving Congress? Good riddance.
The rest? PRIMARY EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM.If your entire legacy is folding under pressure, you don’t deserve the seat you’re sitting in.

Demoralized Democrat representatives are taking to the airwaves to declare that this vote was “shameful,” and they will continue to fight.

Sure, Jan.
Editor’s Note: After more than 40 days of screwing Americans, a few Dems have finally caved. The Schumer Shutdown was never about principle—just inflicting pain for political points.
