This weekend presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special without needing a streaming subscription.
WASHINGTON — Though “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” won’t be shown on traditional broadcast TV this autumn, it will be available for free streaming—but only for this weekend.
Since 2020, Apple TV+ has been the exclusive home for all Charlie Brown and Peanuts content, including the cherished holiday specials. This collaboration is set to continue until at least 2030.
While these animated classics formerly aired on television, this marks the fourth consecutive year that the Thanksgiving special is accessible solely via Apple TV+. Subscribers have the added benefit of watching these Peanuts specials anytime throughout the season.
Before you start lamenting, Apple has announced that it will once more offer all the Charlie Brown holiday specials to nonsubscribers for free for a few days each. This gesture coincides with the celebration of the Peanuts gang’s 75th anniversary.
This year, fans can catch the “Peanuts” special without charge on Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16.
Those hearing Christmas jingles this month will have to wait to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for free. Apple announced that the “Peanuts” classic will be available to non-subscribers on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.
Apple is currently producing a brand-new animated feature starring Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The project was first announced in 2023.
