In a tragic and harrowing event in Ohio, a man fatally shot his child, his stepchild, and the stepchild’s father before taking his own life. The Tiffin Police Department provided details of the incident, which unfolded as Ryan Eagon’s wife was in the process of moving out of their shared residence due to ongoing domestic disputes. Eagon, who was believed to be working out of town, unexpectedly returned home.
The distressing incident took place while Dustin Willey, the father of the woman’s eldest child, was assisting her in gathering her belongings. According to the police, the mother and Willey were inside the house, while the children, ages seven years and seven months, were outside near a vehicle.
Suddenly, a cry from the seven-year-old prompted the adults to check the situation. They found Ryan Eagon in the driveway. Without warning, Eagon, 42, began pursuing Willey, shooting at him as he pushed past the mother. In a horrifying turn of events, Eagon then turned the gun on the children before firing at Willey once more. After the shocking attack, Eagon ended his own life.
When police arrived, they found Willey and the two children inside the home with the mother, who, though physically uninjured, was deeply traumatized and in a state of shock. Eagon’s body was discovered outside the residence, marking the grim conclusion to this devastating episode.
Police responded and found Willey and the two children inside with the mother, “who was physically uninjured but clearly in a state of shock, overwhelmed and visibly traumatized.”
Eagon was found outside the home.
The mother told police she carried her children inside the home before they arrived. Willey and the 7-year-old were taken to hospitals, where they both succumbed to their fatal injuries. Eagon and the baby were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not identify the two children or their mother, but social media posts named them. The 7-year-old was Wrenn and the infant was August, according to their grandmother. The children’s mother, Raven Broski, wrote on Facebook about her devastation after witnessing an enraged man killing her children in front of her.
