Cuneyt Yumakci, a prominent figure in the British antiques scene, is recognized for his roles on Quest’s “Salvage Hunters” and the BBC’s “The Bidding Room.” He co-owns the Rag & Bone Bros, an antiques shop located in Palmers Green, Enfield. His educational background includes studying furniture design at Westminster Kingsway College.
In 2013, Cuneyt, alongside his brother Serkan Yumakci, launched the Rag & Bone Bros antiques shop. The duo is renowned for sourcing exquisitely crafted items not only in the UK but also from various parts of the world, with a particular interest in Germany and Eastern Europe.
Cuneyt has a particular talent for restoration, which he applies in their Palmers Green shop. The establishment features a showroom, while restoration work is carried out in a dedicated area of the shop.
The Rag & Bone Bros website highlights their meticulous restoration process: “Many of the items we find are restored by us at our London-based workshop. Lighting, for instance, is expertly restored and safety tested before being offered for sale. The restorations are all sympathetically done to ensure we preserve the character of each piece.”
Cuneyt and Serkan are regulars on Discovery Quest’s “Salvage Hunters: The Restorers,” where they work alongside host Drew Pritchard. Additionally, they were featured in the 2025 edition of “Country Living Vintage Home.”
