Aurora, IL shooting: Bryan Heineman, Jazmine Barclay dead in shooting during concert inside Two Brothers Roundhouse, police say

In a tragic turn of events in Aurora, Illinois, a deadly shooting over the weekend has left the community in shock. Aurora police have suggested that the incident, which occurred at the Two Brothers Roundhouse, may have been prompted by a social media post.

The shooting unfolded on Saturday around 9 p.m. during an event at the well-known local establishment located at 205 N. Broadway. According to police reports, three individuals were found shot inside the venue.

Among the victims was 24-year-old Jazmine Barclay, a resident of Aurora. She was transported to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by the authorities.

A second victim, a 33-year-old man, was also rushed to the hospital and is reported to be in critical condition. He remains in the intensive care unit, fighting for his life.

The suspected shooter was identified as Bryan Heineman, 43 of Naperville; he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

Police said Barclay and Heineman has been dating prior to the shooting.

Police said Barclay was at the restaurant with the 33-year-old man.

Heineman allegedly learned of their location from a social media post and went to confront them.

Roundhouse management said in a statement that the restaurant will be temporarily closed after the shooting:
“We are profoundly saddened by the violence that occurred on Saturday November 22nd at Two Brothers Roundhouse. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy. The safety, comfort, and well-being of our guests, staff, and community remain our highest priorities.

“We are deeply grateful for the swift and professional response from Aurora Police and Fire Department and all the emergency personnel.

“We appreciate the compassion, patience, and understanding shown by our guests and community during this difficult moment.
