Poco, the prominent spin-off brand from Xiaomi, has teamed up with renowned audio company Bose to give its latest F8 smartphone series a distinctive edge in the bustling mobile market. Both the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra models are equipped with stereo speakers crafted in collaboration with Bose, while the F8 Ultra further distinguishes itself by featuring an integrated subwoofer.

These new F8 models boast dual stereo speakers, meticulously tuned by Bose. However, for those desiring enhanced bass, the F8 Ultra is the model to consider, as it includes the subwoofer, which Poco claims provides “deeper, more impactful bass.” The phones come with two sound profiles engineered by Bose: a Dynamic mode for extra bass and a Balanced mode that enhances vocal clarity and delivers a more even soundstage.

Nick Smith, Chief Strategy Officer and President of Audio Technology at Bose, remarked, “By merging Bose’s acoustic engineering prowess with Poco’s innovative design and technology, the Poco F8 Series elevates mobile sound clarity and depth to a new standard.”

Aside from their audio features, these phones are positioned as affordable flagship devices. The F8 Ultra is powered by the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and features an expansive 6.9-inch OLED display, a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup, and wireless charging capabilities. Meanwhile, the F8 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite from the previous year, a slightly smaller 6.59-inch screen, and a simplified camera system. Both models boast IP68 water and dust resistance and are backed by batteries exceeding 6,000mAh for long-lasting performance.

The F8 Pro starts at $579, while the F8 Ultra is priced from $729, with an introductory $50 discount available at launch. Alongside these smartphones, Poco has also unveiled two budget-friendly tablets, the Pad X1 and Pad M1, priced under $400. These tablets emphasize high-resolution displays and Dolby Atmos speakers, positioning them as excellent entertainment options at an appealing price point.
