Thanksgiving Dinner might be the one occasion where political debates are set aside, but there’s always discussion about who deserves a seat at the table.
Recent polling data has revealed that Donald Trump tops the list as the person Americans most want to invite for Thanksgiving.
A survey conducted by the Daily Mail and JL Partners indicates that Trump is preferred over Barack Obama for this coveted holiday spot.
Among 841 participants, 24 percent selected Trump, while 15 percent opted for Obama.
Following closely behind were former Vice President Kamala Harris and current Vice President JD Vance, taking third and fourth places, respectively.
This preference for Trump highlights a fascinating aspect of Americans’ holiday choices, adding complexity to the broader national conversation about political figures in the media spotlight.
The exclusive survey sampled 1,246 registered voters online in the United States with a 3 percent margin of error. It found that while Trump may top his presidential rival, a majority of Americans would still rather not host him for the holiday.
The poll’s most brutal revelation shows that when forced to choose between two iconic couples – Donald and Melania Trump, or Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his romantic partner, Katy Perry – a whopping 35 percent of all respondents said ‘neither.’

Only 32 percent of Americans opted to spend the holiday with the Trumps, while 26 percent chose the Trudeau-Perry duo.
Despite the clear snub against him as part of a couple, Trump remains the top choice when Americans are asked to select just one politician to spend Thanksgiving with.
The poll also ranked popular media personalities, asking voters to select who they would most and least like to spend Thanksgiving with.
Overall, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro was the most wanted guest, with 24 percent of all respondents voting him in as the winner. His win was almost tied, neck-to-neck with Candace Owens at 23 percent.
Tucker Carlson took third place with 18 percent of the vote.
However, Republicans themselves offered a contrasting view, naming Laura Ingraham as their top choice at 23 percent, closely followed by Carlson at 22 percent and Owens at 19 percent.
Republicans intriguingly placed Shapiro at the bottom of their preferred list, with 22 percent saying he was the one they would least like to spend the holiday with.
Finally, the poll reveals an amusing look into which Thanksgiving roles Americans would trust the former president to handle.
The results suggest he is better left on the receiving end of the family toast, rather than doing any heavy lifting.

Americans would least trust Trump with making dessert, with 45 percent saying they would not have faith in him to do it at all.
Similarly, he was poorly regarded if tasked with decorating the house, despite all his White House renovations. He was also voted as poorly trusted with setting the table.
His highest trust rating was for giving the Thanksgiving toast and, in second place, carving the turkey.
It seems Americans prefer Trump to talk the talk, but he’s strictly barred from the kitchen this holiday season.
