Erika Kirk shares emotional Thanksgiving message honoring Charlie: ‘What remains is sacred’

Erika Kirk commemorated her family’s inaugural Thanksgiving without her late husband, Charlie Kirk, by sharing a poignant reflection on grief, gratitude, and faith.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Kirk, widow of the influential conservative leader and founder of TPUSA, expressed that she and Charlie cherished Thanksgiving for its ability to center them on the profound yet simple act of giving thanks.

“Even now, especially amid the heartache, I am reminded of that gratitude,” she shared. “God blessed me with a marriage to the love of my life, our wonderful children, and the support of family and friends. We’ve also received heartfelt letters, toys, artwork, and Bibles from people worldwide.”

The Turning Point CEO reflected further, stating, “While it’s easy to dwell on what’s lost, the Lord meets me in my moments of weakness, gently guiding my focus to what I still possess in this life.”

She concluded with a profound sentiment, “What remains is sacred.”

Kirk added, “What remains is sacred.”

Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September at the age of 31, leaving behind Erika and their two children – a daughter born in 2022 and a son born in 2024.

Kirk noted that her family has received a stream of support in the months following her husband’s death, writing, “I can’t express what the outpouring of love has meant to me and the babies. I’m reading every letter and card, opening every gift, and saving each one for them when they’re older.”

She also shared a video showing a mountain of gifts and letters as she reflected on how she describes Heaven to her children.

Kirk finished her post by wishing Charlie a happy Thanksgiving, writing, “We’ll save a plate for you babe.”
