Authorities are appealing to the public for help in finding a woman who disappeared while on a Holland America cruise ship.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is searching for 55-year-old Ann Evans, who did not return home on November 20.
As reported by FOX News Digital, Evans was last seen leaving the Rotterdam cruise ship in Port St. Maarten during an “organized island tour.” She reportedly disembarked from the ship at approximately 11 a.m. local time.
The cruise set sail on November 16 for a 12-day journey, departing from Fort Lauderdale and navigating the Caribbean.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten stated they have “conducted extensive searches and pursued several lines of inquiry in compliance with legal guidelines.”
Meanwhile, KPSM reported that a person matching Ms. Evans’ description registered at a hotel on the “French side of the island using her passport.”
KPSM said it is working with French police to gather additional information.
“If Ms. Evans herself sees this message, she is kindly requested to contact her family, the Police Force of Sint Maarten, or the French Gendarmerie as soon as possible to confirm her safety,” KPSM said in a statement.
The story is developing. Check back for updates.
