The White House has stood its ground, declining to issue an apology after pop artist Sabrina Carpenter criticized the use of her song in an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) video, labeling it as “evil.”

Herb Scribner, a Senior Audience Associate with Axios shared in a post on X that White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson had sent him a statement that the Trump administration “won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles.”

“Here’s a straightforward message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won’t retract our actions of removing dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our nation,” stated Jackson. “Anyone defending these reprehensible individuals must be lacking in reasoning or understanding.”

This firm stance from the White House followed Carpenter’s reaction to a video shared on the White House’s X account, which featured her track “Juno.”

The post from the White House quoted a lyric from Carpenter’s song, stating, “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye.”

Carpenter, widely recognized from her role in Girl Meets World, expressed her disapproval by commenting: “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”

According to Warner Todd Huston from News, Carpenter has been noted for her support of progressive causes, including advocacy for transgender rights.

– News’s Warner Todd Huston reported that Carpenter is “well-known for pushing far-left causes,” and that she has “advocated for transgenderism.”

In April, Carpenter received backlash from her fans after she displayed “a new sex position” on stage during her Short n’ Sweet tour. People took to social media to question how she expected “parents of the children at these shows to explain this.”
