Detectives have unveiled CCTV footage as they intensify their probe into a shooting incident that occurred in Sydney’s western suburbs.
Police responded to a call on Frank Street in Mount Druitt around 1:15 a.m. on Friday, May 9, following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, they learned that an unknown assailant had fired over 30 rounds into a residential home.
The suspect is believed to have been driving a dark-colored hatchback.
Inside the targeted home were seven adults and four children, fortunately, no one was harmed.
A crime scene was promptly set up, and preliminary investigations were conducted before the case was handed over to the State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad, operating under Strike Force Evere.
On Monday, a man was arrested and charged following a pursuit in Rooty Hill.
He remains before the courts.
Detectives believe that following the shooting, the vehicle travelled to Alicante Street in Minchinbury, where an unknown person got out of the car and into a white Holden Commodore.
The Commodore was then seen travelling towards Wetherill Park.
Police have released CCTV footage as investigations continue.
