Video footage has surfaced showing a significant altercation involving numerous young individuals near St Kilda Beach on the previous evening around 8 p.m.
Authorities responded promptly to reports of the incident and detained a 15-year-old girl along with a 16-year-old boy.
During the commotion, another teenager, a 16-year-old girl, reportedly tried to evade the police by entering the water.
However, officers pursued her into the surf and successfully apprehended her.
The girl now faces charges of affray, assault, and escaping custody.
The 15-year-old girl involved in the incident has also been charged with affray and assault.
The boy has been charged with assault and assaulting police.
The trio were bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
