A group of students at Milwaukee High School of the Arts were in for a surprise when Hollywood star Hugh Jackman unexpectedly walked into their choir class, leaving them in a state of astonished excitement.

MILWAUKEE — On Tuesday, actor and singer Hugh Jackman delighted a high school choir with a surprise visit, part of the promotional activities for his forthcoming film, “Song Sung Blue.”

The students had been looking forward to a film preview, but instead, they were greeted by Jackman himself, turning their anticipation into disbelief and cheers.

“I couldn’t even wrap my mind around it,” one student exclaimed in a video shared by the school. “It was such an incredible experience. Being at a public school, we rarely have opportunities like this come our way.”

The entire surprise was captured on video, where students could be seen watching a clip of Jackman promising to fulfill their “musical dreams” before suggesting he had a better plan. The room buzzed with murmurs of disbelief as “no way” echoed among them.

Jackman then made his entrance, guitar in hand, as he mingled with the students, offering high fives and posing for pictures, creating a memorable moment for the class.

“Not only did he drop in to cheer them on, but students also had the incredible opportunity to perform ‘From Now On’ from ‘The Greatest Showman’ for the star himself,” the school wrote in a statement. “What a magical day of music, inspiration, and pure joy!”

Jackman was joined by director Craig Brewer to promote their upcoming movie about Milwaukee couple Mike and Claire Sardina, who performed in a Neil Diamond tribute band “Lightning & Thunder.” Jackman stars beside Kate Hudson to play the real-life couple.

“Song Sung Blue” hits theaters Dec. 25.
