Authorities have apprehended two individuals following the discovery of a woman’s body wrapped in blankets in North Georgia on Tuesday afternoon.
Mystique Malachi Amaziah Taylor, aged 23, faces charges including murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, along with several traffic violations associated with his arrest, according to jail records. Rolanda Monique Edwards, 25, has been charged as an accomplice, with offenses such as concealing a death and obstructing the capture of a suspect.
Both suspects are currently detained without bail in the Floyd County jail.
The identity of the deceased woman remains undisclosed, as reported by WANF.
Police revealed that witnesses noted the presence of a red vehicle in the vicinity shortly before the body was discovered. Authorities later tracked down and halted this vehicle in neighboring Bartow County after a brief pursuit.
According to WANF, Taylor was already wanted in nearby Cobb County for multiple offenses committed on November 1. Court documents indicate he attempted to strike a woman with his vehicle, forcibly pulled her into the car by her hair, and engaged in a physical altercation at a nearby gas station. He reportedly confiscated her car keys and fled the scene upon learning of police arrival.
