Thousands of recent high school graduates are anxiously awaiting their ATAR results, with one state releasing its scores this morning. This marks the start of a crucial period as these results determine their entry into university courses.

The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a critical metric for students completing Year 12, assigning a score between zero and 99.95. This ranking system plays a pivotal role in university admissions, guiding students toward their desired academic paths.

The ATAR is calculated by combining a student’s top-performing scaled subjects, including two units of English and eight additional units, to form an aggregate score. This score then ranks the student among their peers statewide.

Results release dates vary across Australia, with students able to access their scores through their respective state or territory’s tertiary admissions centers.

For those waiting in Victoria, the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) has released VCE and ATAR results today at 7 a.m. local time, marking a significant moment for students eager to plan their academic futures.

VCE and ATAR results come out at 7am today via the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

Students will have needed to have registered with VTAC beforehand and have their VCAA student number and results services password handy to log in.

Results are released at 9am on December 18 and found on the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) website.

Students will receive an email with a quick link to the ATAR login with either their UAC PIN or Year 12 student number.

Students will be able to access their results at 7am on December 18 via the ATAR Portal.

They will need their full name, date of birth, LUI number, and personal email ready to set up their ATAR account to log into the portal.

South Australia and the Northern Territory

ATAR results will be released at 8.30am on December 15.

Students can view their rank on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) online portal using their registration number and four-digit PIN.

Students can see their ATAR results on December 21.

The Education Department does not specify what time, so it is best to keep checking throughout the day.

They can find it via the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) student portal using their student number and password.

Results come out on December 17 and are progressively emailed to all students.

They can also access their ATAR on the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC) website.
