Authorities in North Carolina are intensifying their search for a missing woman, Frezja Baker, who vanished last week, leaving family and friends deeply concerned.

Baker, 31, was last seen on December 4 in Charlotte, at two locations: the Cookout restaurant and the Quick N E-Z Food Mart. According to WSOC-TV, she contacted her family by phone, mentioning she was just an hour away, but she never made it to her destination.

Details surrounding her disappearance remain limited, but Baker’s family informed WCNC that she was last in the company of a male acquaintance. This has added a layer of mystery to her sudden absence, as authorities continue to piece together clues.

Charlotte police have reported that Baker drove away from the food mart in her gray-blue 2004 Honda Accord, which bears a South Carolina temporary license plate numbered HBL5984A.

Frezja Baker is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall. The last time she was seen, she was wearing a distinctive black long-sleeve shirt with “Panthers” emblazoned in white and blue across the chest, paired with dark leggings and white shoes.

In a bid to locate her, Baker’s father revealed to WCNC that law enforcement officials have conducted searches in wooded areas near where she was last reported to have been seen. The family remains hopeful for her safe return as the investigation continues.

“She’s alive. I’m not going to think anything negative. We are going to find my daughter,” he told the news outlet.

Anyone with information regarding Baker’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
