In a dramatic turn of events, new video footage has surfaced capturing Nick Reiner just before his arrest. He was taken into custody following the tragic murders of his parents, acclaimed director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged the 32-year-old Reiner with two counts of first-degree murder. The charges include a special circumstance for committing multiple murders and an allegation that he used a knife, a deadly weapon, during the crime.

Authorities apprehended Nick Reiner in Exposition Park on Sunday evening, mere hours after he allegedly fatally wounded his parents at their home in Brentwood, according to prosecutors.

In the video, Nick Reiner can be seen wearing a hat and carrying a red backpack inside a convenience store at a gas station. The footage shows him casually browsing the aisles before purchasing a beverage.

Further surveillance captures the moment an LAPD car speeds to the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. As an officer exits the vehicle, Reiner raises his hands and is subsequently arrested.

Video appears to show Nick Reiner moments before he was arrested for the murders of his parents, renowned director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer.

Nick Reiner’s attorney, Alan Jackson — who helped defend Karen Read in Massachusetts — told reporters Tuesday that the 32-year-old had not yet completed the standard medical clearance to appear in court.

Nick Reiner had been open about battling drug addiction since he was a teenager. In 2016, Nick Reiner worked with his dad on the movie “Being Charlie,” which was based largely on his struggle with drug addiction.

On Saturday night, Rob and Nick Reiner got into an argument at a holiday party, and at the party Nick was seen acting strangely, sources told ABC News.

Rob Reiner, a famed director, producer and actor, is known for massive Hollywood hits, including “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally…,” “Stand By Me,” “This is Spinal Tap,” “A Few Good Men” and many more.
