In a troubling incident at a Pennsylvania mall, a brawl involving four women erupted in the parking lot, drawing attention due to the involvement of a young child who was inadvertently thrown from a stroller during the chaos, according to local authorities.

Oreil Dykes, aged 26, now faces serious legal consequences, including a felony charge for endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor charge for simple assault, as reported by the Lower Allen Township Police Department. Alongside her, Carrie Bowman, 46, Kajah George, 30, and Messiah Cloud, 21, have also been charged with misdemeanor simple assault.

The altercation unfolded around midday on a Saturday outside the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Surveillance footage reportedly shows the four women actively participating in a physical confrontation in the parking area. Dykes, who was accompanied by her infant child at the time, left the child unattended in a stroller in the main aisle as she joined the fray.

Authorities noted that Dykes soon returned to retrieve her child, but rather than ensuring the infant’s safety, she allegedly brought the child closer to the melee. In the heat of the moment, Dykes reportedly kicked at another participant, causing the stroller to tip over and the unrestrained child to fall onto the pavement, as per police accounts.

Upon arrival, officers found George and Cloud, both of whom bore visible injuries to their knuckles and faces. Dykes and Bowman were subsequently identified as additional participants in the scuffle. However, the specific reasons behind the fight remain undisclosed, and authorities have not clarified the alliances or motives of the individuals involved.

Dykes was taken into custody on the same day of the incident, whereas the arrests of the other three women followed on the subsequent Wednesday, marking a delayed response in the ongoing investigation.

Dykes has a preliminary hearing in her case scheduled for Jan. 15. The other three women do not have a case listed in court records stemming from the Saturday incident.
